Steps towards Change
Constant advances in technology have led to world changing events throughout the course of human history. Today, July 24, marks the 54th Anniversary of one such achievement – the day the Apollo 11 Astronauts successfully returned to Planet Earth.
The Apollo 11 mission was one of the most significant achievements ever – and demonstrated the genius of humans in overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges. The first human landing on the moon also proved American technology was superior to that of the Soviets and boosted American morale and prestige.
The mission continues to inspire today – not only in engineering but in art, literature, and popular culture.
In our novel Adam in Taoland we are inspired by the feats of the Apollo 11 Astronauts and others who have paved new ground before and after them. We even named our hero’s puppy Apollo.
As Elon Musk has said: “when something is important, just do it – even if the odds are stacked against you.” Adam of Novana, our protagonist, was awarded three patents for his breakthrough inventions – applying AI safely and judiciously for the good of his fellow humans in the prevention and curing of previously terminal diseases. He demonstrated how to use AI responsibly instead of allowing it to get out of control and destroy human purpose – as had happened in his homeland of Novana.
Let us today observe and support the use of advanced technology toward the common goal of global unity and shared humanity, just as the world watched in awe and were inspired when humans first walked on the Moon. We will continue to promote this same message in our writings – as we dream dreams of positive worldwide changes through the safe and controlled use of AI for the common good.
