In the 4th Millennium, a twenty-year-old Adam finds himself dejected with his life of endless monotony under the oppressive rule of the Plakerols in his homeland, Novana. His people suffer under AI domination, existing on ‘free stuff’ – but with no purpose. The Plakerols have destroyed all things natural and stripped Novanians of every characteristic that makes them uniquely human.

On the brink of self-destruction, he is presented with the choice of leaving the utter nothingness of Novana with the chance at a better future. He grapples with the decision of trusting his fate to the promises of a newcomer he’s never met, or accepting his tortured existence in Novana. One decision will see him thrown into a web of romance, corporate power struggles, and corruption.

Throughout his thirty-year journey of self-discovery with his wife and soul-mate Tariana — on the three moons of the magical, rogue planet of Tao – Adam navigates a fantastic new world of gurus, creatures, and conflict with dangers lurking around every corner.

In his obsessive quest for power and position, Adam seeks false purpose as he struggles to find balance in the irreconcilable demands of his professional and personal life.

Everything changes when Adam, on the edge of an abyss of emptiness, escapes death’s clutches. He finds himself answering to a higher calling.

After winning the struggle in Taoland to balance family life and career, Adam embraces his true purpose. He returns to Novana to liberate the people of his homeland from servitude to the AI State. With his wife Tariana and the angel Adriella by his side, he makes the long journey through space back to Novana – to discover they’d slept agelessly aboard Wanderer for a lot longer than they’d thought.

They land in Galtland – a secret refuge very different from the Novana that Adam left behind many years ago – a land inhabited by millions whose diverse ancestry is a melding of Novanians and others from elsewhere in the universe – including planet Earth. As humans always do, they allow corruption to seep into their lives, they descend into conflict, drugs, and corruption – and coexist in an uncertain peace.

Adam finds himself thrown into power disputes between warring factions. Taunted and tempted by evil doers, Adam unites a majority behind two common goals – the reunification of Galtland – and then the liberation of the remaining AI-enslaved Novanians. He leads a bloodless revolution toward the impossible dream of seeing all humans reject the handouts provided by AI to choose individual liberties instead.

Will he be able to succeed before a catastrophe closer to home turns his world upside down?

Plagued with cognitive decline, Tariana faces the scourges and indignities of Alzheimer’s Disease. Slowly, she fades to a shadow of her former self.

Adam, her lover and chief caregiver, helps her cling to the last threads of who she once was. Their journey this time, in the middle of the Fifth Millennium, is more spiritual than physical.

They once again depart a home they love – relocating to Destiny Island – where Angels, human and otherwise, enter Adam and Tari’s lives when most needed and least expected – offering selfless compassion, guidance and aid. The island is a place of heavenly magic. Miraculous visitations by long lost loved ones bring utter joy.

Adam discovers other spouses in his same situation. He forms and leads a support group of 18 men and women – caregivers who share their stories at weekly luncheons. They laugh, weep, hug, and share intimate details they would dare not share with others.

They seize joy from what might be anger. They pray in gratitude for countless past blessings as death approaches – and provide support for each other as their spouses decline and pass.

In an uplifting ending, Tariana’s mortal life is ended and eternal life is begun.

But what will Adam do? How can he go on without her?
