Unite and Conquer

On June 16, 1858, after accepting his party’s nomination to run for the US Senate from the state of Illinois, candidate Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous ‘house divided’ speech – words as much needed today as way back then – words that inspire the message of ‘we are all different; we are all the same’ in our Dreaming Dreams novels.

Four and a half years later, on January 1,1963 now-President Abraham Lincoln issued by executive order the Emancipation Proclamation abolishing slavery in the United States.  It took more than two years for that order to be implemented in some states  – Texas on the now celebrated June 19, 1865 – with others resisting the change some as late as a century later. One could argue that racial, ethnic, religious and various ideological tensions are higher than any time in recorded history –  not only in the USA, but across our planet. With no end in sight. But Why? Why is it that we are led to focus on differences that divide – rather than to stand behind common goals for humankind on which we all might unite? Who is leading the division that threatens our very future?  And why? These important questions are what inspire us to write.

The keys to humans uniting in common cause are open information and good leadership. In Adam in Taoland, we share the story of people in his homeland of Novana subjected to a pure collectivism – with all differences extinguished by AI control of DNA and AI denial of information. Human history was hidden from Adam’s people by Artificial Intelligence, denying them knowledge of amazing things possible with individuality and human purpose. Novanians existed utterly blind to the unique characteristics that make us human. All accounts of human ingenuity, creativity, free choice, love, even family life was completely withheld by the robotic Plakerols. Until the day Adam was visited by Adriella, who gave him the Key to the Wind, enlightening Adam to human history, bringing about his desire for something more.

In Homeland Rescued, we will show how the human spirit and quest for truth and purpose can be ignited even after centuries of servitude to the false gods of Artificial Intelligence.  Knowledge is power – essential to the freedoms we enjoy – to liberties secured through bloodshed in the US Civil War and throughout recorded history. It is only unleashed with good leadership – and often requires enormous human sacrifice and bloodshed – as oppressed people rise up against injustices and totalitarian rule – enabling dreams to search for something more. This imparting of knowledge to empower others is why we write Adam’s story. It is our purpose behind writing our blogs.

We hope that our words, and the stories we share, will inspire our readers to dream dreams that never were – and then make them happen.
